Bonjour! I'm not French but I am a student of the French language (which I love). I'm V Severin Sevier, well, that's not my real name, but I wish it was. Me real name be Sadie-Anne and I'm a big (that's the understatement of the century, really) fan of Barbossa and reader and writer of Barbossabeth fanfiction. (Did I mention I love Barbossa's boots as well? Guess I didn't.) I am also a major, major fan and supporter of Severus Snape (and have been for over four years) and I'm a reader and writer of SS/HG fanfiction. I am also a fan of Norrington and Jack Davenport and I enjoy Norribeth fanfiction. (Barbossabeth will always be my OTP, just fyi.) Davy Jones and Bootstrap Bill are favourite characters of mine, as well (and I named my '94 white Ford Explorer after Bootstrap). I would die to meet Geoffrey Rush, Alan Rickman, Viggo Mortensen, Jack Davenport, and Gerry Butler (but of those four, Mr. Rush and Mr. Davenport are the ones that I'd like to meet most). I love all the Pirate films and hope that there will be a fourth one.
My home is in Northern Utah, USA...in Cache (pronounced "cash") Valley. I live in the country on five acres of land not half a mile away from the Wellsville Mountain range (steepest mountains in the entire world) and I own five horses and over twenty cats and five dogs. I'm a singer and have been since was I was four years old. I'm also a Type 1 Diabetic and have been since I was 11 yrs old. I'm really looking forward to the day when they find a cure because this disease has almost killed me three or four times.
I would love to be able to sail the sea on a tall ship and hope to one day have enough money to have my own custom built tall ship (not likely, but hey, I can dream!). I hope to one day learn how to sail one of those magnificent ships (also, not likely to happen).
Now, despite my great desire to sail the sea, I fear I could not leave land. One of my greatest joys in life is driving. Yes, you heard me, driving. I enjoy nothing more than waking long before the sun rises and getting in my beloved Bootstrap and driving during the darkest couple of hours before dawn. Everything is quiet and there are few on the roads. I absolutely love to drive, no matter the distance, time, or weather. Though...I can't say I love driving down my steep driveway in the middle of a Utah winter...I ran over a tree last year (don't worry, the tree was small and it lived). Luckily, it was in my old 1990 Mitsubishi Montero, Monty, and not in my dear Bootstrap. (Can you tell I'm really fond of my Explorer? Hee hee.) I'll post a photo of me and Bootstrap soon.
I'm also writer for a newspaper and I write poems and shortstories and other creative writing things as a hobby.
And that's it...for now...maybe. Oh, if anyone wants to email me: Hectors_Wench@mail2sevenseas.com
^That is my backyard. That mountain is called Mendon Peak and it's 8,000 somethin' feet above sea level.
"Look! The moonlight shows us for what we really are. We are not among the livin' and so we cannot die. But neither are we dead! For too long I've been parched of thirst and unable to quench it. Too long I've been starvin' to death and haven't died. I feel nothin'! Not the wind on my face nor the spray of the sea. Nor the warmth of a woman's flesh. You'd best start believin' in ghost stories, Miss Turner, yer in one!"-Captain Barbossa (The Curse of the Black Pearl)
"There will be no foolish wand waving or silly incatations in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is potion making. However, for those select few who possess the pre-disposition...I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even put a stopper in death..."-Professor Severus Snape (Philosopher's Stone)
Barbossa. You're Captain Barbossa... So...in other words, you're pretty much straight-up evil. Someone gets in your way, they get BLOWN away. Or stabbed...or something of the violent-nature-ed...away. People think they know you, they're right. But you do have a couple well hidden secrets. Take this quiz!

Who Is Your Pirates of the Caribbean Soulmate? (with pics and character descriptions)
Captain Barbossa Name: Captain Hector Barbossa Job: Pirate Captain & former first mate to Captain Jack Sparrow on the Black Pearl Actor: Geoffrey Rush Ships used: The Black Pearl Weapons: Cutlass & Pistol Allies: Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann & Tia Dalma Enemies: Royal Navy, Captain Jack Sparrow &"Bootstrap Bill" Turner Background:Little is known about Barbossa before he joins the Black Pearl. His name indicates a possible Portuguese and/or Spanish ancestry though he speaks with a West Country accent. Barbossa has a strange passion for apples, which appear throughout the film. He offers one to Elizabeth and later tells her that when the curse is lifted he wants to eat a whole bushel of them. There are also apples on the table in his cabin and when he dies at the end, an apple rolls from his hand. His cameo appearance in Dead Man's Chest also shows him with his favourite fruit. This representation of the apple could have a number of symbolic meanings: the deadly fruit that Eve partook from a snake or the devil's apple (referenced in a comment in the film, "A man so evil that Hell itself spat him back out"). Or perhaps from Disney itself with the infamous apple from their cartoon classic, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in which the evil queen attempted to kill Snow White with a poisoned apple. Indeed, when Elizabeth is offered an apple, she mistakenly believes it's poisoned. Most obviously it is a Vanitas style reference, particularly appropriate for a character incapable of dying. Apart from symbolism, it may be that one of Barbossa's greatest pleasures is apples and years of being unable to feel, smell or taste has turned a pleasure into a constant craving.According to the audio commentary from the first Pirates of the Caribbean DVD featuring the scriptwriters, Barbossa and Norrington are equally skilled with a sword. They tie as second-best, after Will Turner. Geoffrey Rush comments that Barbossa supposedly used a sword from a very young age, possibly as early as 13. Take this quiz!

Norrington: Loves you almost as much as Elizabeth. He finds you polite and well-mannered, but doesn't show his feelings well. Jack Sparrow: He tries to impress you and flirt a little. He doesn't understand what Barbossa has that makes him so special. He will try to steal your heart away. Cutler Beckett: Hates you - we'll just leave it at that. Your Life in Pirates of the Caribbean + What They Think of You (Girls Only and EXTREMELY Long Results)
When you were young, you always wanted something more. Something more than the little shack your parents owned by the sea. Something more than the few scraps of bread you got each day. Something more than lying in nothing but hay and your own sweat as you attempted to dream of what you were missing. Your parents always tried to teach you to be happy with your lot in life, that this is what you were meant to have as a family and thats all there is to be done. But you never agreed with them. There was always something more that could be done in your mind, some small thing that your family might have overlooked. And I your mind, you were convinced that there had to be a way to get more than just a lousy coin once a week. There had to be. You were never one to stand still, to fill your day with the daily chores of the household. Washing, cleaning, cooking, sewing, it disgusted you. And, as always, you always thought there was something better to do. So instead, early in the morning, you would sneak down to the town below your small little shack and wander. It was what you did best. Day in and day out you would watch the people around you, but after awhile you became fascinated with one specific type of people about the town: sailors. Each time a ship came in you were in awe of all the riches they brought home. You gazed at the ones getting ready to shove off, mentally noting each action, each tiny detail, to the point where you could probably march right onto the ship and do the job yourself. And thats when you got the idea. Sprinting to your parents, you told them that you were going to become a sailor and bring them back loads of money and treasures. They refused, saying that you were only eighteen and didnt have the experience to join a crew. "Besides," they finished, "it's just too dangerous." Well, you werent about to take any of that; and besides, in your mind, you werent asking permission. You were telling them, and whether they liked it or not you were going to be a sailor. So that night you snuck out again and joined the first crew you could, only to sail out on the Dawns Glory the next morning. Let me be the first to tell you that the Dawns Glory wasnt glorious for long. But a week after you set off, a group of pirates attacked your ship in the night, looted the place of valuables, then offered places on the crew to anyone who wanted it. They told of treasure, of eternal fame and fortune-you signed up immediately. All those who refused were sent off in a lifeboat with not so much as a scrap of bread-the captain, whose name happened to be Barbossa, said that he felt generous that day. So not long after you all set sail towards the Isle de Muerta, and well, you know the story. You all get turned to ghosts. However, you were one of the few that survived the battle against the soldiers and was the one who took your captain to Tia Dalma, who healed him. You were and still are Barbossas most faithful crewmember. Captain Jack Sparrow: If it werent for her, Id still have the Pearl without a single threat to me. So apparently, I should repay the favor. William Turner: How could she still possibly be faithful to him after he was the one who led them all to the most miserable ten years in their entire lives and most of them ended up dying immediately after anyways? Its wrong. Elizabeth Swann: I hate her. Shes just like the rest of those filthy rogues that kept me hostage. I hope that she-- *QM: All right then moving on.* Mr. Gibbs: Mutinyits bad luck. Its bad for the soul, and one day shell pay for what she did to Jack. Barbossa: She be the best pirate I eer did see! I owe my life to herand Jack the monkey. I dont know how Id get by without her! Davy Jones: Well, as long as she doesnt try and steal my heart, Ill be fine. *QM: Erright.* Calypso: All that betrayal will land her, one day very soon, in a difficult situation. Commodore Norrington: _______? Who is that? A pirate? Oh, well, then, er, yes, shes very bad and must be stopped. Lord Beckett: If only I could get her to give that sort of loyalty to me, to get her to be a spy of some sort for me *begins to plot* Thanks for reading, please rate/message, and have a completely awesome day!
