G'day, everyone...I'm alive...just lurking a lot.  I have brought tribute...not one, not two, not three...but four! Barbossa vids for you all.  I finished these all back in November but am only now posting them because I'd hoped to have all the vids requested done but WMM is being a stubborn bitch.  It keeps quitting on me for no reason at all so my vid request list is on hold for the moment until I can get the damn thing working again.  I will finish all the vids in the (very long) queue, I promise...I just need some time.   Grr.  Anyway.  The links to the new vids will be posted at the end of this entry.

News about me...not much to tell other than I got a new dog.  He's a half Greyhound, half Labrador Retriever mix named Zeus.  He's the sweetest thing and so pretty.  He's a really interesting looking brindle.  I'll post pics of him later.  It was my birthday on March 13th and I got three Geoffrey Rush films: Munich, Shakespeare in Love, and Shine.  I've watched Shakespeare in Love and Munich and they're bloody brilliant films.  I haven't watched Shine yet, but I plan to soon.

And just fyi on my fics...I'll finish them, I just don't know when...I've run into a brick wall and I'm currently trying to knock it down.

This was snagged from cazcatharsis who snagged if from barbossas_wench.  And like caz, I thought it was a really good idea.  Wait a few days, go through the flist, see if there’s anything that can be done to make someone smile a little.  Heh. This shouldn’t be a x-mas thing either, especially for those of us who aren't Christian.  Call it a winter treat.  It should be done year round though...maybe seasonal?

Step One
Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ.  The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes.  The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
Surf around your friends list (or friends friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list.  And now here's the important part: If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not—it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.



*Sigh* I think my House on Haunted Hill fascination is getting a little worse.  And my Voyager obsession and love is getting a bit out of control...heh.
